Install New App

New Web Progressive App for Kallax.io and more changes to notifications

Push Notifications⚡

The notifications section has been redesigned with a new user interface. This update improves readability and makes it easier to stay informed.

Push notifications are now supported. You can receive real-time updates and alerts directly to your device, keeping you connected and informed wherever you are. To enable this, open the notification tab and click 'Enable Push Notifications⚡' .

Note: If you don't see the option then notifications is either not supported by your browser or already been allowed or disabled. You should receive a notification immediately after enabling push notifications to confirm registration.

The redesigned notification with push notification option

We are working on enabling more notification types and implementing settings to configure which notifications are shown. For now we have taken a conservative approach only show for these events:

  • Someone sent you a friend request
  • Someone accepted your friend request
  • Someone invited you to an event
  • An event you are participating in changed details
  • Someone accepted your event invite
  • Someone declined your event invite

Note: We limit push notifications to 1 per minute for now. This is subject to change when notification settings is implemented.

App Installation📱

You can now install Kallax.io as a Progressive Web App. This means faster access, better performance, and a more app-like experience. We’re holding off on releasing to the app stores for now. Store listings come with additional costs, and we want to focus on improving the app before taking that step.

A Progressive Web App is a website that behaves like an app. You can install it from your browser, can send notifications (if enabled), and loads quicker than the site because it is stored on your device.

It's differs from a native app in technical aspects, primarily that it has less device permissions and runs in a browser behind the scenes.
